Why your videos need a professional logo intro

By Published On: August 25th, 2015

First impressions count. So much so that people are willing to turn (or click) away from a video if it doesn’t capture their attention right from the start..right from the initial intro clip. So how many seconds do you think you have to get their attention?

Take an industry like sports and fitness. It is important to try and capture ‘strength’ and ‘power’ within the first few seconds so that you can implant a sense of confidence in the viewers mind.

Intro Lengths

10 seconds = way too long

5 seconds = still too long

2-3 seconds = perfect

Adapting to your audience and keeping it short and sharp will give viewers a level of trust in your product before they have even seen it. Then you have them in the right mind frame and all you have to do is ‘wow’ them with your product.

Lessons:

  • Make it relevant
  • Make it short
  • Make it powerful

Outro videos go toward the end and often may not even be seen by your viewers, so you may as well load it with some useful information for those who have watched your video all the way through. Some contact details are a must, as well as a call to action or a way for them to further engage with your product.

The options are limitless, but remember not to get too carried away with the duration!

So…do you know someone who is in need of a catchy little intro, or perhaps a full promotional DVD?
